Define each record
A program describes an ongoing area of service. A project or initiative is a defined body of work, often with a start, status or specific objective. Use recognizable names. Keep the program’s purpose separate from a fundraising campaign: the program explains the work; a campaign asks supporters to help fund or participate in it.
Add operational detail
Open the relevant Organization section or Programs workspace. Enter the name, description, intended audience and known dates or status. Explain what happens, who takes part and what change is intended. Distinguish a target from an achieved result. If an initiative is planned, do not describe the service as already operating.
Review Program Intelligence
Use Program Intelligence, when available, to organize source material into a proposed record. Review facts and references, correct errors and confirm only supported information. Uploading a document does not guarantee that every sentence is correct. Keep uncertain or conflicting details visible for an authorized colleague to resolve.
Add people and media
Use the leadership position for the job and category for staff, board or officer. Attach approved program and project photos that show the actual work. Confirm permission and avoid revealing private participant information. A local image still needs an accurate description and permission for its intended public use.
Verify reuse
Save and reopen the record. When creating a Community Funding campaign, select the saved program or project and inspect the prefilled draft. Check that unrelated programs and photos were not included. Profile edits and existing published campaign text have separate review responsibilities; inspect a campaign before republishing it.
